Levens remembers growing up in Swatara Station and Derry Road "poor but happy." Family life and tasks were the central focus. Relates being in separate classes for Italians until 3rd or 4th grade and being ridiculed in school. Helped mother by selling dandelion greens and fruit. Worked in chocolate factory after graduation, Hershey Museum, and Hotel Hershey gift shop. Recounts weddings, holidays, other traditions.
