In 1974, Willard became a school nurse for the Derry Township School District.  She describes her responsibilities in that position and recounts the affect Three Mile Island had on the district and the community.  Willard also recalls her childhood visits to Hershey, including attending teas at the Rose Garden and visits to Hershey Park.  She discusses the community’s development into a tourist attraction and the residential growth following the construction of the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.  In addition, the interview includes brief descriptions of the local business available to residents in the 1970s and 1980s.
