    Hopple grew up in Lebanon.  Recalls childhood, education and early jobs. Discusses work in Cocoa Department and Longitude 94 and 100.  Also describes supervision; shift work; coworkers; advancement opportunities; relatives working at factory; safety standards and procedures.  Hopple comments on the 2002 proposed sale of Hershey Foods Corporation and community support of workers during 2002 strike.

    Hopple considered herself fortunate to find childcare close to work and with family members.  She also discusses her participation in and being the first female branch president of Union Local 464 and involvement in community service activities
