    Markley, head of Milton Hershey School, Industrial Arts program, recalls his interview and working  with M.S.Hershey to start  trade (vocational) school.  Discusses process of buying and installing equipment and staffing shops.  He describes class sizes and the combination of Hershey Industrial School boys and public school boys at downtown public school and at Senior Hall;. Markely describes the operation of the vocational program; trades taught; overall changes at school; the house construction project.  Also discussed: training women for defense during World War II; teacher recruitment leading to success of program.
